Warning!!! These espresso balls, also nick named "crack" balls are highly addicting! You are probably thinking, Cori, why do you call these "crack" balls? Well, they are just another variation of the original energy ball recipe, however, the chocolate and coffee mixture make them very addictively delicious!!! Although, I must give credit to my friend Lisa who creatively re-named these energy balls to "crack" balls. Energy balls are a staple item that I make weekly. I especially like to bring them for my long runs out on the trail. Lisa became obsessed with my OG ball recipe (PB & chocolate chip) and wanted to make them all the time. She had the brilliant idea of adding coffee grounds to the mix. Such a coffee addict thing to do :D Lisa fuels her long runs and races with crack balls as one of her favorite snacks. Especially during the night hours of her ultra-endurance events! Whether it be consuming these balls during a long run, popping one in your mouth before an early morning workout, or as an afternoon snack at work, they are the perfect bite to provide you with that quick energy and are a tasty treat!
